Complaint: Rebooking made us miss the trip anywayMala from Phoenix, AZ | Customer Service Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.5

Our original flight was cancelled and Qantas automatically moved us onto a connection that looked impossible from the start. Staff at DFW kept saying the new 17:55 departure was the only option, but by the time we landed the onward gate was already closed. What bothered me most was being told to call support while standing in the airport with hotel nights already paid for.

Review: Helpful crew after a long connectionMichelle from Toronto, ON | Customer Service Staff | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★★★★ 5

We came off a long international leg exhausted and still had one more flight to go. The crew on Qantas QF720 noticed several people were connecting onward and made a point of checking who needed gate information. It was not fancy service, just thoughtful and human, which mattered after a long day.

Review: Not perfect, but the crew communicated wellRenee from Canton, CT | Staff Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★★★☆ 3.7

The flight was not perfect and we did leave late, but the crew kept explaining what they knew. On Qantas QF757, they gave connection updates before landing and reminded passengers which bags would arrive at the regular claim. I can handle a delay much better when the communication is honest.

Complaint: No ownership after a missed connectionNina from San Diego, CA | Customer Service Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1

Once the connection was missed, every person pointed somewhere else. Airport staff said to call, the call center said to ask the airport, and the app kept showing options that disappeared before I could select them. Nobody sounded responsible for getting us to the destination anymore.

Complaint: Gate updates came too lateStephen from Brooklyn, NY | Punctuality & Speed Online & App | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.8

The app changed first, the airport screen changed later, and the people at gate B12 still had no explanation. By the time someone finally said the 17:55 departure was delayed, several passengers had already missed the chance to adjust their connections. The delay was frustrating, but the silence made it worse.

Complaint: Staff treated simple questions like a problemMark from Austin, TX | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.6

People at gate F14 were asking normal questions about vouchers, hotel options, and whether the delay would affect connections. The answers kept changing, and one staff member spoke to passengers like they were wasting time. It was the attitude, more than the delay, that made the experience feel so bad.

Review: Gate agent helped recover a forgotten phoneMichael from Chicago, IL | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★★★★★ 4.9

A phone was left with the wrong family member during boarding, and I expected that to become a mess. The gate agent at A4 stayed calm, coordinated with the people still outside the jet bridge, and got it back before the door closed. That one employee saved the trip from starting badly.

Complaint: Refund case kept restartingLenny from Jersey City, NJ | Refunds Customer Service | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.1

I submitted the refund form after a cancelled Seattle to Honolulu trip and received a case number right away. After that, nothing was simple. Each call felt like starting over, one agent could not see the previous notes, and the email replies never gave a real date for when the money would be returned.

Review: Check-in staff caught a document issue earlyPatricia from Kansas City, MO | Check-in Staff | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★★★☆ 4.3

The best part of this trip happened before boarding. A check-in employee at Frankfurt noticed a document mismatch and corrected it before it became a gate problem. The process took extra minutes, but it saved me from a much bigger issue later in the day.

Complaint: Wheelchair request was visible but not readyRobert from Denver, CO | Special Assistance Customer Service | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.3

The wheelchair request was on the reservation, but when we reached Istanbul nobody seemed prepared for it. We waited, asked twice, and almost missed the boarding window. Special assistance should not depend on finding the right person at the last minute.

Review: One agent turned a bad morning aroundMary from Orlando, FL | Staff Check-in | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★★★★ 4.7

The check-in line at Sao Paulo Guarulhos was long enough that I expected a disaster. A gate agent near F14 noticed the tight connection on QF173, moved the document check along, and explained exactly where to go next. It was the kind of calm help that makes a stressful airport morning feel manageable.

Complaint: Carry-on policy changed at the doorChris from Phoenix, AZ | Baggage Staff | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 2.1

At gate A4, passengers with bags that had already passed the sizer were suddenly told to check them. The staff sounded annoyed when people asked whether the bags would come out planeside or at baggage claim. I would have packed differently if Qantas had made the rule clear before boarding started.

Complaint: Name correction became a fee and a fightChristy from Seattle, WA | Customer Service Sales & Marketing | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.4

A minor name correction should not have taken two calls, a fee, and repeating the same passport information again. The second agent eventually fixed it, but the first case note apparently was not visible. I spent more time proving the problem than actually solving it.

Complaint: Bag showed up days late and damagedGeorge from Canton, CT | Baggage Customer Service | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.1

We started a vacation with one suitcase missing after Qantas QF284. The desk at YVR took the claim and told us to buy basic clothes, then every phone call after that gave a different answer. The bag finally reached the hotel almost two days later with a broken zipper pull, and the reimbursement offer did not come close to what we spent.

Complaint: Maintenance delay handled poorlyCarlos from Toronto, ON | Maintenance Staff | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.6

After boarding Qantas QF321, the screen at my seat froze and the crew tried restarting it twice. Then we were told there was a maintenance warning and everyone just sat there without a clear timeline. I understand safety checks, but the communication on September 3, 2026 made the whole cabin feel stuck and ignored.

Review: Not perfect, but the crew communicated wellTanya from Brooklyn, NY | Staff Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed March 22, 2026
★★★★☆ 4

The flight was not perfect and we did leave late, but the crew kept explaining what they knew. On Qantas QF358, they gave connection updates before landing and reminded passengers which bags would arrive at the regular claim. I can handle a delay much better when the communication is honest.

Complaint: Meal voucher did not cover airport pricesAman from San Diego, CA | Price Customer Service | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 2.2

The delay stretched long enough that passengers were given meal vouchers, but the amount barely covered a sandwich at the airport. I appreciate getting something, but it felt more symbolic than useful when families were stuck waiting for hours with children.
