Complaint: No ownership after a missed connectionMark from Brooklyn, NY | Customer Service Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.1

Once the connection was missed, every person pointed somewhere else. Airport staff said to call, the call center said to ask the airport, and the app kept showing options that disappeared before I could select them. Nobody sounded responsible for getting us to the destination anymore.

Complaint: Gate updates came too lateMala from Austin, TX | Punctuality & Speed Online & App | Reviewed January 18, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.9

The app changed first, the airport screen changed later, and the people at gate A4 still had no explanation. By the time someone finally said the 06:15 departure was delayed, several passengers had already missed the chance to adjust their connections. The delay was frustrating, but the silence made it worse.

Complaint: Staff treated simple questions like a problemLenny from Chicago, IL | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed April 14, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.7

People at gate D21 were asking normal questions about vouchers, hotel options, and whether the delay would affect connections. The answers kept changing, and one staff member spoke to passengers like they were wasting time. It was the attitude, more than the delay, that made the experience feel so bad.

Review: Gate agent helped recover a forgotten phoneRenee from Jersey City, NJ | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★★★★★ 4.5

A phone was left with the wrong family member during boarding, and I expected that to become a mess. The gate agent at G3 stayed calm, coordinated with the people still outside the jet bridge, and got it back before the door closed. That one employee saved the trip from starting badly.

Complaint: Refund case kept restartingRobert from Kansas City, MO | Refunds Customer Service | Reviewed January 18, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.2

I submitted the refund form after a cancelled Delhi to Kolkata trip and received a case number right away. After that, nothing was simple. Each call felt like starting over, one agent could not see the previous notes, and the email replies never gave a real date for when the money would be returned.

Review: Check-in staff caught a document issue earlyStephen from Denver, CO | Check-in Staff | Reviewed April 14, 2026
★★★★☆ 4.4

The best part of this trip happened before boarding. A check-in employee at Johannesburg noticed a document mismatch and corrected it before it became a gate problem. The process took extra minutes, but it saved me from a much bigger issue later in the day.

Complaint: Wheelchair request was visible but not readyChris from Orlando, FL | Special Assistance Customer Service | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.4

The wheelchair request was on the reservation, but when we reached Dallas/Fort Worth nobody seemed prepared for it. We waited, asked twice, and almost missed the boarding window. Special assistance should not depend on finding the right person at the last minute.

Review: One agent turned a bad morning aroundMichael from Phoenix, AZ | Staff Check-in | Reviewed January 18, 2026
★★★★★ 4.8

The check-in line at Boston Logan was long enough that I expected a disaster. A gate agent near D21 noticed the tight connection on TC661, moved the document check along, and explained exactly where to go next. It was the kind of calm help that makes a stressful airport morning feel manageable.

Complaint: Carry-on policy changed at the doorGeorge from Seattle, WA | Baggage Staff | Reviewed April 14, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.7

At gate G3, passengers with bags that had already passed the sizer were suddenly told to check them. The staff sounded annoyed when people asked whether the bags would come out planeside or at baggage claim. I would have packed differently if Air Tanzania had made the rule clear before boarding started.

Complaint: Name correction became a fee and a fightPatricia from Canton, CT | Customer Service Sales & Marketing | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.5

A minor name correction should not have taken two calls, a fee, and repeating the same passport information again. The second agent eventually fixed it, but the first case note apparently was not visible. I spent more time proving the problem than actually solving it.

Complaint: Bag showed up days late and damagedTanya from Toronto, ON | Baggage Customer Service | Reviewed January 18, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.2

We started a vacation with one suitcase missing after Air Tanzania TC772. The desk at CUN took the claim and told us to buy basic clothes, then every phone call after that gave a different answer. The bag finally reached the hotel almost two days later with a broken zipper pull, and the reimbursement offer did not come close to what we spent.

Complaint: Maintenance delay handled poorlyMary from Brooklyn, NY | Maintenance Staff | Reviewed April 14, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.7

After boarding Air Tanzania TC809, the screen at my seat froze and the crew tried restarting it twice. Then we were told there was a maintenance warning and everyone just sat there without a clear timeline. I understand safety checks, but the communication on April 14, 2026 made the whole cabin feel stuck and ignored.

Review: Not perfect, but the crew communicated wellDesiree from San Diego, CA | Staff Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★★★★☆ 4.1

The flight was not perfect and we did leave late, but the crew kept explaining what they knew. On Air Tanzania TC846, they gave connection updates before landing and reminded passengers which bags would arrive at the regular claim. I can handle a delay much better when the communication is honest.

Complaint: Meal voucher did not cover airport pricesChristy from Chicago, IL | Price Customer Service | Reviewed January 18, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.8

The delay stretched long enough that passengers were given meal vouchers, but the amount barely covered a sandwich at the airport. I appreciate getting something, but it felt more symbolic than useful when families were stuck waiting for hours with children.

Review: Smooth boarding and a clean cabinAlba from Austin, TX | Punctuality & Speed Staff | Reviewed April 14, 2026
★★★★☆ 4.1

This was a rare travel day where nothing dramatic happened. Air Tanzania TC920 boarded close to the posted 15:20 time, the cabin was clean, and the crew kept the announcements short but useful. I landed at FCO close enough to schedule that my ride did not have to circle the airport.

Complaint: Staff treated simple questions like a problemCarlos from Kansas City, MO | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed August 11, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.5

People at gate F14 were asking normal questions about vouchers, hotel options, and whether the delay would affect connections. The answers kept changing, and one staff member spoke to passengers like they were wasting time. It was the attitude, more than the delay, that made the experience feel so bad.
